EDWARD F. WALSH

Ed Walsh’s consulting practice encompasses a broad spectrum of human resource assignments, including; executive compensation, organizational assessment and design, succession planning, staffing, and selection strategies and executive counseling.  Ed’s client list includes Asbury Automotive, BioValidity, Campbell Soup, Colgate, Daymon Associates, Electric Mobility, Holiday Inn, LG Industries, Marriott, Sara Lee, Saturn, United Technologies, and Zenith Electronics. 

He opened his consulting practice in early 1999 upon his early retirement from Campbell Soup Company where he was Vice President – Global Human Resources for Campbell Soup Company.  During his six plus years at Campbell, Ed was instrumental in reconfiguring the organizational structure for Campbell’s, putting into place global succession planning, people development programs, staffing networks, new executive compensation and global benefits programs.   He was an active member of Campbell Soup’s Strategic Steering Committee. 

Prior to joining Campbell Soup, Ed held prominent positions with major Fortune 100 companies.  He worked for PepsiCo for 13 years (1971-1984), where for the last six years he was Corporate Vice President globally, for PepsiCo, Inc. headquartered in Purchase, NY.  Ed was also President of Manor Care, a $600 million health care company based in Silver Spring, Maryland, and founder of Walsh & Associates, a very successful human resources consulting firm based in Connecticut.  

Ed has given many speeches at meetings and conferences throughout the country including: Human Resource Planning Society (HRPS) national conference, Notre Dame Graduate School Trustees annual meeting, New York State Association of Savings Banks annual conference, American Compensation Association national conference, and University of Michigan Graduate School guest speaker series. 

Ed is a member of the Board of Trustees for Moore College of Art & Design, and former member of the Conference Board’s Global Human Resources Council and Human Resource Management Council.  He is also a former President and Chairman of IACPR.  Ed is a graduate of Princeton University.  He and his wife, Carol, live in Villanova, Pennsylvania, and have three children.
