JOHN R. FELL, III

John R. Fell, III is Managing Partner and co-owner of HFC Executive Search LLC, where he is responsible for conducting all aspects of senior level searches for Fortune 500 and privately-held companies.  His industry/functional expertise are in the areas of asset management and financial services, corporate & investment banking, and corporate finance.

 Prior to entering the executive search business John spent 15 years in the financial services industry, which included ten years with Mellon Bank and five years with Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase).  During that time he was also involved extensively with his company’s recruiting process, including both internal and external hiring of staff.  He was Vice President & Manager of Mellon Bank’s telecommunications lending group where he was responsible for a loan portfolio of $2.4 billion in commitments to companies in the wireline and wireless industries.  Prior to specializing in the telecommunications field John spent ten years developing lending relationships and marketing the bank’s non-credit and trust services to the financial services industry, including property & casualty and life insurance companies, bank holding companies, asset management firms, mutual funds and consumer finance companies.

 John is a graduate of St. Lawrence University with a BA degree in Government.  In addition, he completed the 12-month management training program at Chemical Bank in New York City.

 A native of Locust Valley, NY, John also spent four years living in London, England.  He has worked in New York City, Chicago and Philadelphia during his professional career.  John lives with his wife, Evelyn, and two children in Haverford, Pennsylvania.
